Just because everyone does it, doesnt mean it's not cheating. And Wlad has been pretty egregious sometimes.

Now, I dont think it would have changed any fight's outcomes. But I do wish refs would police that better - not just in Wlad fights.

For example, in the Povetkin fight, Pov came out on fire. He was really troubling Wlad for the first 2 rounds. Wlad started blatantly lunging and grabbing Pov, leaning on him.... and the ref simply broke them up, with little warning.

And Pov being Pov, he accepted the situation, leveled off his aggression, and eventually lost a snoozer.

We need refs to take points when clinching is blatantly to stop a boxers inside fighting.

I would not call that cheating at all doe...if anything that's on the refs for allowing it... He merely took advantage of incompetent refs IMO...just like you said don't mean it's right but it's def not cheating...

Not really. Fight was competitive and either guy could have won. Joshua was riding all the momentum while wlad was coming off a loss and layoff and still almost won. Wlad can still beat most of the heavyweights out there including joshua.
