I couldn't help but notice how inaccurate it was.
I was thinking if it lands it might takes Josh's head off.
But I wasn't even thinking it was josh making him miss. I was just thinking does wlad need glasses?

I noticed a significant drop in punch output from Wladimir, doubt he will ever be able to get that back, I'm not sure on his left hook though.

I'm sure Joshua and his team studied Wlad's tactics well & were prepared. Add to that the equal height of both men and age of Wlad, and you get the result we saw. He did his best, but it just wasn't enough.

You can tell from Joshua's reaction to whenever Wlad the it that he trained to specifically take away the left hook. He spent the entire fight trying to control Wlads lead hand.

            Exactly.

I said the exact same thing in the Pulev RBR thread (and people seemed to think it was a ridiculous observation for some reason)

He telegraphes the left hook badly, its very obvious when he's going the throw it like you mentioned he dips his head down.

In the pulev and povetkin fights, it was quick and times well.

In the Joshua fight, he landed two out of 20 thrown. Eating up energy.

Joshua, who has a poor defence saw the hook everytime. Wlad will regret not sticking with what got the innitial knock down, his classic 1-2.

Wlad kinda landed a left hook after Joshua was falling, then he landed a weak left hook when Joshua was on chciken legs, other than that he had a horrible sucess rate with it.

Was it a tactical error, or did Klitscko not realise how telegraphed it was in his older years?

              Thoughts?
It wasn't a tactical error, he was trying to land a shot that he used to have more snap on. Simple as that.

At some point or another fighters all lost the snap on their shots. Wlad's not near as reactive as he used to be. He may be a little better in technique but even if skills get better at some point age and lack of reflexes make that meaningless.

His left hook was beyond pathetic in the Joshua fight. He used to really whip that hook but he was too stiff for it to land or do much damage. He's always stiff, but worse that night.

I'm glad that he went in there to fight this time but his accuracy and punch quality was not what it once was. Jabs were lighter. Right hand was there but again, his rigidness in that fight robbed it of some power.

Joshua watched tapes and trained to ensure he doesn't get hit with it. Wlad didn't adjust and kept wasting effort trying to throw it again and again instead of coming up with something else. Unfortunate but simple.

That is a horribly racist thing to say, Larry.

What's more pathetic is that he hurt Joshua with that left hook a couple of times even if he missed it numerous times.
