Even though Klitschko had the layoff, I thought both fighters looked great. And you can really see how fight to fight Anthony improves. He looked better this one than the last. Klitschko surprisingly bounced around a lot and I thought Joshua dealt with the movement well. All this "robotic" talk from Parker's trainer about AJ; I wonder what they'll say when Anthony flattens him? Then they'll say he's just a puncher lol.

I hate the premise of this whole opinion. If you destroy a guy you are ready for him & if he destroys you then you weren't ready for him. Sometimes you can be completely ready & lose. The whole premise is a bs premise.

I'd even go so far as to say this fight happened at exactly the right time for both guys, based on the stances of a solid cross section of fans before the fight & what happened in the fight. More fights should be happening when a guy "isn't ready" in the promoters opinion based on this fight.

I think he should probably lose about 10 lbs. He fought a terrific fight but I feel that he probably wouldn't have punched himself out in the 5th had he been a little lighter. He may have been able to finish off Wlad earlier. That said, he has a ton of heart and is a guy that I am excited to see again. Wilder or Parker would be awesome. Even Fury, if gets serious.

Hearn almost lost his global star to a 42 year old inactive fighter.

Who won this fight? It is crazy how the narrative is take the credit away from Joshua as if Vlad didn't want to win the fight. It is Vlad could have done "this" or Vlad could have done "that" . If Joshua was never ready for that Klitschko he will never be ready.Vlad weakness has always been fighters who fight him aggressive, who don't allow him to clinch and give him space to jab them to death. Vlad couldn't be his usual self, because Joshua is stronger and has the same size and equal power.

Klitz couldn't pull trigger when Joshua was hurt because he's old and gassed. And yet inactive for 18 months and old he was able to continue to win rounds.

There is a reason Hearn was three years of softer touches before another major event. Joshua can't fight Wilder this year.

Im not so sure he WASNT ready as much as a poor game plan that McCracken insisted trying to out jab Wlad ,when we all saw how effective Joshua inside game is . He probably could have knocked Klitchko out before 5 if he abandoned the cautious jabbing contest bc that only helped get Klitchko into rythm .

Totally agree he thought the wrong fight but I will put it down to being a rookie and he will certainly learn from this.

Wel it was more coaching ,,,hopefully the entire teams learns from thios...also rookie inexperiance ,but that comes with fights.Certainly the best win ever in the history of boxing at having only 18 fights,Wlad came to win and get the knockout..anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

He has no choice unfortunately. Who else is he gonna fight when he's fighting in a division full of bums? Let's be honest there's only a handful of elite fighters in the HW division and they're Wladmir Klitschko, Tyson Fury, David Haye, Luis Ortiz, Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker and Deontay Wilder and then you have your up and comers in Dillian Whyte, Hughie Fury, Washington, Big fat bear etc..
