No point in him going the Wilder route, this fight was better for his career than doing 35 odd fights again the Charles martin, Arreola or George Washington of the HW.

AJ was out on his feet. His trainer was in panic mode, "come on mate...come on now ...please Josh".

Klitz couldn't pull trigger when Joshua was hurt because he's old and gassed. And yet inactive for 18 months and old he was able to continue to win rounds.

There is a reason Hearn was three years of softer touches before another major event. Joshua can't fight Wilder this year.
It was Joshua's 19th pro fight. Even Vitali admitted that was probably Wlad's best performance. 41 is not even that old for a heavyweight like Klitschko who is a consummate professional and was in great shape against Joshua. He reversed the clock as long as he could and provided a serious test that very few modern HWs would have been able to withstand.
Stop acting like Wilder is the boogie man and too good for Joshua. He has fought NOBODY in 38 pro fights. 38! A 41 year old Klitschko EASILY destroys all the clowns on Wilder's resume.
Wilder has a big mouth and has talked about wanting to unify the division and prove he is the true HW champion of the world but as of yet, he's just blowing smoke because his actions directly contradict his statements.

And your point being? He recovered and stopped your hero. Get over it. Was Jonathan Banks not in panic mode when Wlad was dropped twice in the 11th? Unfortunately, he didn't get to give Wlad any more instructions between rounds because Wlad was TKO'd.
It was a great fight. Wlad exceeded a lot of people's expectations and was on the cusp of a KO victory. It was a desperate situation and Joshua managed to pull himself together and come out with the win like a true champion.
It honestly doesn't even matter if the Joshua detractors don't give him credit because they are irrelevant and unimportant and know nothing about boxing.
Those who are knowledgeable about boxing and make a living in the industry, be it other pro boxers, trainers, promoters or even respected journalists, know how significant a win it is.
