I don't think he ducked anybody, maybe the Sanders rematch but nobody else I can think of.
He had a few lemons but fought a lot of guys ranked high in the orgs throughout his career.
The orgs and their mandatories are kind of to blame when he fought guys not so great because he certainly wasn't averse to fighting anyone.Comment

It's a petty and weak excuse when people bring this up as some retort to a fighters perceived greatness. If you fight whomever is asked of you, that's all you can do. If those people live up to other random people throughout history, doesn't matter. You dont choose when you are born nor the crop of professionals whom are your peers. Haters try the same tired argument when it comes to Golovkin. In the same vein, he beat who was asked of him except one person.
Wlad reigned during a weak era but that doesn't blemish his personal resume. He still dominated for over a decade. Ducked no one. Still wants to compete. Guy is both in better shape and a better fighter than cats on NSB half his age, but keyboard warriors want to mock guys like Wlad and Ortiz, let's see these incels lace em up at 40 and see what they've got. I've talked plenty of **** myself on here but I've always been willing to step into a gym and back it up.Comment

- -U baby Marchegiano marching in lineal time.He never beat anyone then crumbled at the first sign of talent, rebuilt himself, and crumbled again.
Wlad's resume doesn't hold up, and all anyone ever talks about is the longevity of his reign over the era of elderly, overweight, and/or undersized HWs.
I mean let's be real, the dude was fighting back when Ike Ibeabuchi was relevant and David Haye is about the best name on his resume. He got knocked out by guys who were considered bums, then reigned over an era where top tens were worse than the bums who knocked him out and now that we're just getting back to the quality fighters that are about par with the bums that knocked him out in the top tens he can't get a W.
Dude wouldn't even be a topic in any other era. All he did was bridge the gap between times when guys who are active HWs kinda look like Mike Tyson if they were less ****. AJ's a lesser Mike just like Tua was a lesser Mike...he didn't do well in either era, just the ****ty one in between with names like ****ing Mormeck.
