I would agree with the stoppage, as the final shots were missing the mark, but you had to know Wlad was 3 sheets to the wind. And yes the initial KD hit the top/side of Wlad's head, but he ducked down and put his head there. It wasn't an intentional sort of shot from AJ. #itsboxingI thought Wladimir would be ahead as well, I think the punch stats are counting illegal shots as well like the 11th round knockdown which from a punch to the back of the head, not a legit knockdown.
Like I've said many times I have no problem with AJ winning, I enjoyed the fight, but they ruined the end of it by stopping it prematurely no experienced referee should be stepping in when a guy is making the other guy miss shots and blocking the majority of the work, you're allowed to defend yourself.Comment

His shot in the 11th that stunned Wladimir was from AJ pushing/palming the back of Wladimir head down and sneakly putting an uppercut in.I would agree with the stoppage, as the final shots were missing the mark, but you had to know Wlad was 3 sheets to the wind. Doesn't matter If It was intentional It isn't allowed.Comment

Damn, I'll have to watch that again.. If that's true he really did learn everything he knows from Klit. Watch Wlad/Povetkin and you can watch that punch sequence about 100x in the ~189 clinches in that fight.Comment
