Bookmarking this for a good laugh later on. He just got done telling us that he didn't see any reason for AJ to travel outside the UK.

That's what wrong these days, rush to coronation before anything has been proven.
If your read the article correctly it talks about British PPV buys, not worldwide. It beat the PPV numbers for May PAC in the U.K, which were huge.

The fight cost £20 which is about $28 and there are talk of 2million buys. In a country a 5th of the size of the US. It's the equivalent of Wilder doing 10m buys for Christ sake.

Whether you like it or not Joshua and the UK are leading boxing right now.

The US is rubbish for heavyweights but if they think expanding their horizons means a fight over there, then just beat up Wilder for easy cash in Las Vegas or NY.

It would be better and more relevant for AJ to fight in a German stadium versus Wlad, back at Wembley for Fury and then Russia for Povetkin.

The German stadium makes sense for Wlad, but why on Earth would Povetkin (a known cheat) even be an option and why would Joshua risk the corruption in Russia for underwhelming opponent?

Is Pov banned? I stopped following that story. If he is not banned then he is still one of the most relevant heavies out there and a big money fight in Russia would expand AJ's reach even further. It's not perfect of course and very unlikely but I'm just speaking on how AJ can expand his global reach.

I don't bookmark a lot of threads but I did this one because I wanted to either say, "told you so", or admit I was wrong. I was wrong... kinda...
Hearn did attempt to being AJ to the US, but it was 2 years later and he failed miserably in his attempt.
