Wilder/Joshua

Has nothing to do with being patriotic, it has to do with seeing something in Wilder that most don't see from the beginning.
Now Joshua could easily win not discounting that, but I don;t find giving Wilder a chance as unrealistic.Comment

Wilder, pretty easy for him too. See how many people believe Wilder's a terrible boxer even though he has some gorgeous KOs? They legitimize that belief with predetermined ideas of what boxing should be, but the fact that they believe it means they've already taken the first bit of Wilder's bait.
Look at the history of power hitters. The full history, from 686 BC not just today's version or just to LPRR. Wilder's not the first guy to look amateurishly bad, be outboxed the whole fight, never appear to have lost confidence, and win by KO consistently. There's a format, Wilder just follows it. The reason these guys have never heard of it circles back to those predetermined ideas about what boxing is. Hit and don't be hit, **** like that. It's not that they've never heard Teddy Atlas break this down before they just don't absorb it because it doesn't fit their mold of what a good boxer is.
AJ's easily baited and gets comfortable with looks, he'll happily accept his skills are superior and when he does he'll get knocked out.Comment

Agreed, Wilder doesnt look like SRR in there but he generally outlands his opponents and then stops them. Pretty simple..Wilder, pretty easy for him too. Watch Klitschko vs. Austin... and then watch Stiverne vs. Austin, after Klitschko KOed him.Comment

Stiverne isn't anywhere close stylistically to Austin, he is much closer to Peter whom dropped Wlad 3x. Stiverne is arguably better than Peter as just 1 fight later he got SCHOOLED by James Toney.
Purrity dropped Wlad
Sanders dropped Wlad
Brewster dropped Wlad
Peter dropped Wlad
Pulev rocked Wlad
Wach rocked Wlad
Fury rocked Wlad
AJ dropped Wlad
It's not unreasonable to think a puncher like Stiverne can hurt Wlad, if you have power you have a chance against him. The last time Wlad fought a heavy hitter like AJ was Peter. I don't even count his Povetkin fight which he should've been DQ'd for.Comment

Corey Sanders was a terrible stylistic matchup for him. A lefty with speed, who could duck under his punches. Purrity and Brewster were fights where he basically gassed out after beating up on them. Against Peter a couple of those knockdowns were from behind the head shots.
Other than Sanders fight, the other fights where he got rocked he was able to recover and go on to win them convincingly.
Stiverne has to be the slowest fighter in the HW division. Plus he's a lot shorter and doesn't have great stamina. So Wlad would likely just jab and grab him, put his weight on him wear him down and either KO him like Ray Austin or win a very wide decision.
Stiverne really isn't good and he dodged a career ending beating at the hands of Povetkin.Comment
