P4P is sci-fi fantasy child-like bs. "If everyone was the same size...." lol okayyyyyyyyy.

Who else beat Quillin? Like I keep saying its all relative. Every division is its own division & has its own A caliber guys. If Jacobs isn't A at 160 who is? How does he become A level at 160 if no one is? Its silly logic.

Lemieux was like the 4th or 5th best guy (someone feel free to correct me if he wasn't that high or if he was higher at the time) in the division & he's a C+/max, LOL. That's nuts. Its no wonder boxing can't go mainstream anymore outside of freak show fights, even a lot of boxing fans think everyone sucks.
Please, do tell me in specifics what lemieux has besides power? If Jacobs is B level, and gave golovkin all he could handle, what is lemieux who got beaten up in that fight, has been ko'd by rubio and lost to a smaller guy as well? What skill does lemieux have? The guy doesn't even know wtf a circle is.

    • Don't know the point of these ****** threads from the usual angry fanbase. Seems GGG is the center of their universe. What are they angry about now? He fought Jacobs in a close fight. So who do they want him to fight now? Any name they have in mind?

I think there's MANY talents that aren't in the spotlight based on marketability. You don't think for instance that somewhere a kid who plays basketball everyday, but doesn't have the right people to market him that he couldn't school some of the top players in the NBA?
I reallllllly don't understand what that has to do with what I was talking about lol.

But I'll play along, I mean sure maybe some 11-0 super prospect on the come up or some 22-1 guy on the verge of the indie top 10 could be the #1 guy in a division if they were simply given a shot at that in their next fight. So yea #1 or top ten or any sorta measurement of accomplishments + ability like that is a fluid thing that's based on opportunity that some guys are getting sooner then others. I don't disagree with that if I'm understanding you correctly.

Bottom line however, the MW division IS WEAK, thus top level MW fighters can be B level and be #1 or 2, because there's no A level talents there to really show the difference between the 2.
Yea like I said I disagree, to me that's like saying the top ten starts at #5 cuz no one deserves the top 4 spots. The logic of grouping anything involves there being A, B, C & so on caliber guys.

I guess my main counter to that whole way of thinking is I don't believe in this super pool of boxing talent that people try to measure the boxers in. Its mythical & its bs.

You can only exist on your current time line & in your current division. You can't say Hagler beats GGG & it mean anything except you got a great imagination for having two guys from two different eras of the sport boxing in your head. You can't say SRR or whoever you think is the ATG #1 Goat of all of boxing is the pinnacle of a the entire boxing world for all time & everyone else is graded on that curve.

To me you can only grade guys in the current timeline & in their current weight division. Every other method of comparing guys or ranking them in class is sci-fi fantasy bs. Hell one can even argue that the current method of ranking guys is sci-fi fantasy bs cuz as you mentioned earlier & as I used in the example I used some 11-0 prospect or some 22-1 guy on the verge of being known could legit KTFO of GGG & Canelo at 160 & be the main tomorrow if given the chance.

But the reality of how things work today is all we have & things will never be perfect like that to fully gauge the ability & potential of guys at all levels of the game to give a 100% pure grouping of greatness in any division.

Like I keep saying we got a drastically different thought process with this.

You think a guy who's the 5th(?) best guy in a division like Davey is C+ cuz he is far from some Floyd, Manny or any P4P type guy.

And I say whoever is 5th best in a division is a A level guy by virtue of being considered the 5th best guy in a division.

You're not tired of making excuses n giving GGG and k2 a pass?

Jacobs would happily rematch him, zurdo is interested, so are others from 154-168

It's funny, before I read your last post, I was thinking, fuck it, I am tired of trying to make a case for Golovkin. I'll resume sticking up for him when he sends me a check. Meanwhile, it's Friday, payday, tomorrow there's a big fight & I'm getting laid! Peace.

please miss us with this lame....he slipping doe...campaign

i remember posters saying GGG die hards were gonna say he was slipping if he didnt dominate Jacobs

damn that was prophetic...where were all these threads and comments before he fought jacobs

                  bwhahahahahahahaha

Jacobs goes the full 12 .... a legit top 3 middleweight " he got the rounds he needed" says Sanchez and GGG fanatics...sure...a guy thats 35 is worried about getting rounds in when he has 35+ pro fights...a 20 fight ko streak and 300 amatuer fights.....bwahahahahahahahaha

keep the excuses rolling in...like i said before, a talented fighter will look better than he truly is if he never fights other top fighters.....deal with it
I couldn't care less either way...I'm just calling it like i see it. You seem to be on the ggg is in his prime at 35 campaign...give it up man. I've already said, i thought he peaked around 2012-2014. Take a look for yourself...if you tell me he moves as well, and looks just as sharp now, then you're a liar and there's nothing left to talk about. There isn't much to talk about either way, cuz you seem too emotionally vested in this.
