We need that fight. (Although I think AJ will fight Parker next)
Actually a mandatory fight would Pulev would do him nicely before a Unification. Wilder needs to build in the US...he should be a superstar. Wilder vs AJ should be the biggest fight in boxing but in ain't yet. For that reason I think It will happen next summer if AJ wins this weekend.

The saying ' your only as good as your last fight' is very apt. What you did in the past is irrelevant to how you will fight in the present and future.

Wlad is shot, 41 years old and scared to pull the trigger. If he had one or two fights since the fury fight where he KO'd some decent opposition and looked good doing it then you could refute the argument that he is gun shy and shot.

Since he hasnt, all you're doing is pretending he isnt all of those things ^

The very fact people consider this a dangerous fight for AJ says more about AJ than it does about Wlad being past it.

If AJ didn't want the fight it wouldn't be happening it's as simple as that.

You have no evidence that suggests AJ didn't want the fight except your dislike of Eddie Hearn

Wilder will never be a superstar in the US. He's not culturally relevant. Ward is closer to stardom than Wilder.

Look at his ratings in prime time on PBC Saturday cards. He's the only guy who didn't clear 2 million views regularly (although being in **** fights didn't help).

He has a better chance of campaigning in the UK to earn the big bucks. There's good competition over the pond and a fan base for the heavyweights.

Would you have preferred josh to fight him when he was still an amateur? Or maybe in his first progressional fight instead would that have been better?

Look at the heavyweight scene, wilder fighting bum after bum, fury(s) doing whatever it takes to avoid fighting I'm glad this fight is happening I can believe josh is getting **** for actually wanting to fight the best. Everyone talks about it yet only he's making moves. Good on him.

You gotta understand the new boxing culture in America is only about money and ppl getting a haymon pass by fighting once a yr in non threatening bouts. Sad but true. And when something is competitive every now and then all ppl want is rematches instead of demanding bigger and better fights.
