As much as I'm a fan of Golovkin him not fighting Saunders to unify is a bull s*** move on his part. Could care less about Canelo who probably won't fight Golovkin either way. Beating Saunders was the plan to unify. That's why they call it prize fighting and I guess the "prize" wasn't big enough for K2. Shame.

If this were any other fighter people would call this I duck. Not risking a loss is a duck. People assume he'd beat BJS just like they assumed he'd blow Jacobs out. If he's injured then delay the fight. Cancelling the fight to avoid losing and losing the Canelo fight is a blatant duck.

I know that reading comprehension isnt always your best asset, but maybe you missed the part where Warren wanted to move the fight SOONER, not LATER.

Like I said before, one tough fight and they shut him down. They don't want to risk losing that Canelo payday. The plan was to fight 3-4 bums a year until they got the Canelo fight.

So they have to do what Warren wants? BJS is fighting in July, that's later than June. Amazing how things can get done when you have a competent team. If Warren wanted it earlier you say no. Warren ain't turning down that money.

Nobody in their right mind would call this a duck, especially as Average Joe Saunders has never been as lauded as Jacobs has been, and has even admitted on at least two occasions that Golovkin would destroy him.

Declining someone for an even tougher opponent (not to mention that fighting and beating Canelo would do wonders for his legacy going forward, not just his bank account) is the antithesis of a duck.

They had a scare in the Jacobs fight and they cancelled the BJS fight. They didn't delay it, they cancelled it because they're afraid to lose and lose the Canelo fight. That's a duck flat out. IDGAF what BJS said in the past. He agreed to fight him and GGG cancelled the fight after years of saying his dream was to become undisputed. Words don't win fights.
