Is Teddy Atlas the worst commentator in boxing history?

I like his little technical breakdowns he did before the fight.
But his analogies man...
He could be going on and on with some analogy and it could take him 2 rounds to finish the analogy when all he was getting at was something simple like how important the jab is.Comment

How the **** can you hate this guy.
"They walk out of that ring with less of themselves than they had when they went in, and this gets done to em? By a bunch of COWARDS at ringside that never took a punch in their life?"

nah, jim watt used to drive me mad. in any sport i hate turning the sound off but theres been times where ive had to with him. never used to pick up on shifts in momentum, hed watch the first round and whoever won that he would go with the narrative that they were in charge of the fight for the next 6 rounds minimum.Comment

I don't think he's bad when he sticks to talking about the actual fight in front of him...usually anyway. The biggest thing is he goes on these rants that he just can't let go off far too often that lose the narrative of what we are watching to push whatever narrative that may or may not be of interest to anyone beyond him.
That said boxing commentators in general seem kinda sh^tty. Just tell me whats happening in the ring & stfu beyond that. That's the job. I don't need any political stances or talk of who's next or why they do or don't deserve x guy next or what crime he commited 2 months ago. Just talk about the f#cking fight.Comment

I figured out what it is. He treats every broadcast as a demo reel to showcase his advice and passion as a trainer. He is looking for a gig. It is why he goes on mind-numbing and repetitive rants about what a guy is doing wrong every fucking round of every fight. He is pretending like he is in the corner.Comment
