The Joseph Parker-Razvan Cojanu heavyweight title fight, which BoxingScene.com reported earlier Tuesday was in the works, will be announced at a press conference Wednesday in Auckland, New Zealand. It'll take place May 6 at Spark Arena in Auckland, Parker's hometown. Cojanu is a late replacement for Hughie Fury, the mandatory challenger for Parker's WBO heavyweight championship.

They sure did. I hate what the pathetic fury camp did but my sympathy is somewhat tempered by the worthlessness of this opponent. If it was left to this sort of matchmaking boxing would wither and die. Thank feck for joshua and klitsko is all i can say.

That is what a replacement on two weeks notice looks like, they aren't going to bring in anyone tricky to beat their guy in that situation.

Get it over with an move on to better things just like any late replacement fight.

Cojanu is a hopeless can. Parker clearly trying to be more like Wilder in order to understand Bumsquad's mindset before a unification. Smart.
