Makes Wilder look like he's fighting Ali, Frazier, Norton and Holmes

Parker has had an extended training camp already because of the Furys. He wants to have fight without any further delay and he deserves to. They are probably just getting who they can and equally though it should be some-one that fits what they have been training for. Because of the time wasting of the Furys any replacement is merely going to be a filler fight. Also, Parker has always been a busy fighter, to set this back and wait for a decent mach up at this stage is not reasonable. Equally taking on Deontay Wilder or equivalent for your first defence is not reasonable. There wouldn't be many who would take a unification for the first defense of title.Comment

What parker needs is new and better promoters, and mostly a new trainer, as a kiwi I've been watching parker since he started, he's improved but not enough, he has the power and speed, but he can't put it all together, someone like Robert Garcia or Freddie roach would do him alot, Kevin Barry has taught him all he can.Comment

Firstly because of how he boxed on the back foot vs Ruiz. It was just, barely working the whole fight, and I think he should he tried to occupy the middle of the ring and not taken a backward step. He's strong and more athletic than Ruiz, he should've backed himself to put Ruiz off by actually using physicality rather than running the whole fight.
Secondly because I don't like how involved Barry is in his whole career. It seems like he's his coach, his matchmaker, and his caregiver. It's a bit weird that Parker is living in Barry's house. He's got enough money now to rent out a place in Vegas and be his own man. He's not a kid anymore, and it places all sorts of conflicts of interest. I think it's a much better idea to seperate the management from the coaching from the promotion.
Thirdly because I just don't think Barry is improving him. We see the same defensive frailties over and over, with little new skills.Comment

are you a lawyer ? Look I get it , Parker had a camp and wants to fight but he himself has said he wants to unify and this was his chance . I really don't think him beating this guys will be the deciding factor if he is ready for Wilder.Parker has had an extended training camp already because of the Furys. You couldn't have put it much better than that bro, I'd like to see more angles and wouldn't be great if he could be taught how to setup his punches a bit more feints/slips etcI tend to agree.
