Lara does not want the fight against demetrius andrade. If he did he could get it easily, andrade wants the fight. This is why lara is calling for ggg, jarrett hurd, jermell charlo, because andrade would make him look real bad.Comment

The only ones I think will move to 160 in the near future (within 2 years) are Jermell Charlo and Andrade, possibly Hurd. GGG only needs 3 fights, Canelo, Saunders (or Khurtsidze), and a Jacobs rematch. He can retire after that!Comment

That's a bunch of *****. You can't tell me Lara would have been willing to jump to 160 when he spent the last 2 years fighting Vanes M(whatever the **** his name is) and Yuri Foreman. Lara could have moved up to 160 at any time just like GGG could have moved up to 168 to fight guys like DeGeale, Ward or Ramirez. GGG he decided to stay at 160 in the hopes of luring Canelo Alvarez into a big money fight. There is no big money fight for Lara at 154 so if he wants that high profile fight he has to make the move. And since he doesn't bring any money to the table he's gotta be the one to force the issue. Otherwise his talk about fighting GGG is meaningless.Nobody ever said anything about GG going DOWN in weight for Lara. The offer from Lara has always been at 160, any time. Golovkin's team simply ignored that and took fights like Brook instead. If Lara wants this, he needs to go get it.
As far as relevancy goes, Ward just fought another top 5 P4P fighter and is about to do it again. You sound like a clown pretending that's not relevant.
As for Brook, its well known that GGG wanted to fight in September. He had an HBO date and an arena locked up. Chris Eubanks Jr dragged his feet in negotiations so long that it was either take the Brook fight (Eubanks/Brook own promoter said Brook would take the exact deal Eubanks turned down) or start negotiations entirely from scratch with a new opponent. That would have killed any chances of fighting in September. And with the way Jacobs dragged his own feet during his negotiations with GGG who knows when that fight would have happened. As it is, Jacobs forced a delay from early December 2016 to mid-March 2017. If GGG went with someone else we probably wouldn't have seen GGG vs. Jacobs until this month or next. The fight with Brook was the lesser of two evils.
As for that Ward. I was referring to the period where he was completely inactive because he was on the run from Dan Goosen. Ward kept bringing up GGG's name in order to remind boxing fans he still existed. When it was clear he couldn't make 168 anymore he moved up to fight Kovalev. He gets all the credit in the world for fighting Kovalev and a quality light heavyweight like Sullivan Barrera. But it doesn't change the fact that he was riding GGG's coattails to keep his name in the news.Comment

He can but I wouldn't want him to. I'd want him to fight Canelo in September and then finish out the year with Billy Joe Saunders to get that last belt. I'd like to see him start 2018 by fighting Jermall Charlo (assuming he beats Heiland to become GGG's mandatory). After fighting Jacobs, Canelo, Billy Joe Saunders and Charlo in consecutive fights I'd forgive him for taking an easy tuneup fight with a guy like N'Dam or whomever is his mandatory at that time. But after that it should be nothing but the best fights possible. If it means having to give up one or more of his belts then so be it. Before 2018 is over I'd want to see the Jacobs rematch, the Lara fight or for GGG to move up to challenge Ramirez or DeGeale.Comment

You seem to think you're arguing with a certain crowd. I'm an independent thinker and I just criticized Lara for saying he'd fight Golovkin, but not actually taking steps to make it happen. That's a bunch of *****. If you're defending the Brook fight, I can only say
Regarding Ward, Golovkin brought him up first. When Ward was free of contract disputes, his team sent an offer. Team GG made NO attempt to negotiate. Everyone knows this. Everyone. The only guys who can't grasp that reality are the most hardcore of GG fans. I like Golovkin but all the big talk (esp from Sanchez) was really embarrassing, and it's just pathetic when people try to pretend that everything he's done has always been brilliant.
No fighter is perfect in all ways and people who think that have child-like minds.Comment

What offer? what offer!!???!??!?!?Nobody ever said anything about GG going DOWN in weight for Lara. The offer from Lara has always been at 160, any time. Golovkin's team simply ignored that and took fights like Brook instead. If Lara wants this, he needs to go get it.

Man, for being a rational and great poster here, you do sometimes say some serious BS. Almost everytime, against GGG.
When the GGG team contacted Lara, Lara's manager made public statements about the fight being "difficult to make because of TV issues" and that "Lara commands a lot of money", "Lara was built on Showtime not on HBO", etc.
I get it, GGG vs Lara is a great fight, but don't say that Lara did something to make this fight. He only speaks to the press or in twitter.Comment

Calm the fk down. I'm talking about Lara's statements, not a contract.
"Offer; verb; to ask someone if they would like to have something or if they would like you to do something."
-Cambridge dictionary
Lara said about 5 million times that he wanted to fight Golovkin (read the thread title if you don't believe me). GG's team expressed no interest in Lara.
Do you have some kind of problem with those basic facts???Comment

Irrelevant to the conversation. Most who know realize when a guy is running and hugging. Has nothing to do with ring size genius.Comment

Yeah a big problem. His name is Charlo. Charlo actually moved up in weight to get the big money fights. People recognize that he is serious. Lara would prefer to snipe from long range.Calm the fk down. I'm talking about Lara's statements, not a contract.
