Anyone else got love for Shawn Porter?

He comes to fight in top shape and forces his opponents to fight hard and I like that. He's going to try to wear down the other guy regardless of their skills and makes his style work for him. I think he has more skills than he's getting credit for besides being a bull in a china shop (which I like about him anyways). His fights are NOT boring and are fun to watch. Only the very best and biggest can compete and win...and it's going to be very tough. I think he's gotten better over time...and I say he beats Thurman now AND Garcia.

I love Porter. He could have easily said he was too hurt to continue with both eyes cut and won a technical, but he battled on and got the KO....amazing actually when you think about it. I don't know what there is to hate....he has heart, leaves it all in the ring and hugely entertaining to watch.

I love Shawn Porter. He fought great and did nothing wrong. It's not illegal to get close and throw punches. It illegal to hold to excess. Berto couldn't handle the pressure and used his bear hug clinch to make those bad punches stop hitting him. That usually works because Berto is so strong. It didn't work on Porter because he is just as strong and he wrestled his arms free and kept punching. That's what Berto was crying about. He wanted to stop Porter from hitting him so much by clinching and Porter wouldn't stop punching.

I'm seeing a lot of negativity for him from last night but it takes two to tango - Berto went back to clinching like hell last night every time Shawn went on the attack. He literally went for the clinch each time Shawn started throwing.

So I'm happy Portner wasn't passively accepting the clinch and made it rough.

Shawn is a beast me to. Great work ethic, improves every fight, comes to fight, him and his Dad are an entertaining combo, he gives everyone at 147 a tough fight.

I always enjoy watching Porter fight. He brings the action fans crave. I just hope to see him in the ring more often.

Showtime Shawn Porter aka the black Ricky Hatton w/ a better chin and gas tank. Brings the pain however ugly but it's not a tickling contest. He comes to do his job like a workhorse and is always a tough out for anyone. Can't really stand his father but Shawns a great kid and damn good fighter.
