Anyone else got love for Shawn Porter?

I'm seeing a lot of negativity for him from last night but it takes two to tango - Berto went back to clinching like hell last night every time Shawn went on the attack. He literally went for the clinch each time Shawn started throwing.

So I'm happy Portner wasn't passively accepting the clinch and made it rough.

Shawn is a beast me to. Great work ethic, improves every fight, comes to fight, him and his Dad are an entertaining combo, he gives everyone at 147 a tough fight.

Not a fan of his style. He is not the most skilled fighter but I respect that he makes his tools work for him whether it's in victory or in a losing effort. He is also a pretty well spoken individual.

I personally thought he beat Thurman, the closest i scored that fight was a draw.

I like porter always been a fan. love that smash mouth style of fighting he doesn't want to box he wants to maul you.

As a boxing fan. Nothing but respect. He fights everyone, gives it his all, hustles and is a class act outside of the ring. We need more of him in this sport.

But as a tv watcher, man those fights are ugly to watch. The headbutts, smothering his own work, excessive wrestling, etc

Yeah he fights everyone but really I don't think he would be in a position to duck anyone anyway and still make the kind of money he has been making because he is not a draw.

That being said I really dislike his style, he is a swarmer and mauler and is pretty unwatchable imo, and this is coming from a wrestler who likes MMA.

When I watch boxing I enjoy watching the science of hit and don't be hit, not watching someone mug the other fighter

Can't stand the skill less way he fights, how he used his head and stifles his own work rate, and can't stand the way his father touts him like he is this feared monster when he's lost twice and had a draw. I do respect his work ethic and no matter who he faces they are in for a tough fight.
