Haven't posted much about this fight, but here are my thoughts beforehand.

I think this is a very even fight as long as Berto fights at least semi-responsibly. The stylistic clash lends itself to a great fight. Porter rushes and smothers and uses explosiveness and aggression, Berto can fight coming forward or off the backfoot and likes to counter, and can be baited into exchanges if he doesn't start them himself, and both have flaws that make them vulnerable.

To me, it's which version of Berto shows up that most influences the outcome of the fight. If he fights the best fight I can I don't see how Porter overcomes him, that said, I am rooting hard for Porter in this fight, he needs a good comeback win for his career, and this would be a good one.

Top Rank is really good at matching their fighters with Brazilian bums.

Brazil,Dominican Republic,Irish...For the most part when I see a fighter from there 9 times out of 10 they are going to be garbage.

        Weird but true.

Maybe the way they are brought up, usually they have really nice and shinny records. They usually step up and get reck'd.

I'm not saying those countries don't have quality fighters, some of them reach the top for sure. It's just very few and far between.

I think you can add Colombia to that list.

I think Porter wins but by decision. Berto won't quit, never does, and especially now that it seems this is his last chance at a title.

Probably a few knockdowns and potential great fight coming that isn't getting enough respect imo.

                    Fight Night!!!

I really wonder about Colombia. They never produce a fighter worth a damn but they always get to like 25-0 or something before fighting somebody even decent and then get squashed.
