I was looking forward to this fight. That PED situation needs to be resolved whatever the outcome is. What I don't understand is if this turns out to be the issue then why would the WBO even bother to sanction the fight knowing there could be issues? I know he was next in line as all ahead of him were not available but why risk it? I'm only speculating as I don't know what lead to this cancellation but it sure doesn't look good from Team Fury's side. If it's the PED issue then this is on the WBO for wasting everyone's time. Any other reason sounds like a Team Fury issue unless there is a legit problem coming from Duco Events that has not been made public...

You try flying economy class from the UK to New Zealand. It will ruin you. Business class tickets ain't cheap but it seems silly that this would ruin the fight. If they paid $4 million to win the purse bid hopefully they can cough up a few more dollars for the two extra business class seats.

Duco gave them 2 business class seats. That's clearly not the issue. No one would pull out of a multi million dollar fight over £10k flight tickets. Your an idiot for even suggesting it is a reason.

The actual reason is unknown, so everyone jumping conclusions about Hughie and his team "pulling out" need to stfu until something substantial actually comes out.

Kevin Barry is on record saying Duco offered to fly the entire Furys out 6 weeks in advance, putting them up in first class hotels.

This is entirely, entirely on the Furys. Noone else.

Duco have been struggling with Team Fury since this fight was first signed and I'm led to believe that Frank Warren has been almost as difficult as well. I think from the get-go they were amazed they lost that purse bid and have been attempting to find a way out of travelling to NZ from the very start. Look I think most will agree that Duco can do/say some silly things at times but one thing that is constant is the praise that visiting fighters and their teams give them for receiving excellent treatment when they come to NZ. Duco have been over backwards to accommodate Fury including going into bat for Peter to get him a special visa to visit NZ due to his past criminal convictions.

I'm a fan of the Fury's, particularly Tyson but the reality is as soon as Duco won the purse bid they have wanted NO part of this fight.

Can you imagine if Frank Warren/the Furys had won the purse bid? Parker would've been jerked round for up to a year, unable to take the fight as they continue to dither around with delays and lack of communication.

I'm not the biggest Duco fan but at least they're professional, and thank **** they won the purse bid here.
