Why do white Americans support eastern euro fighters more than their countrymen

I am a white American and what country a boxer is from means nothing to me one way or the other. I don't like boxers any more or any less because they are a countryman of mine. I am a boxing fan and not a flag waver. I like boxers because of their fighting skills, their style, and their conduct in and out of the ring.That boxer could be Spence, an American, or GGG, a Russian. You sound like a black American who is pissed off because you think black American boxers should get more love from white American boxing fans and Russian boxers should get no love at all from any American boxing fans. This sounds like more of your boo hooing and complaining that Ward doesn't get the respect he is due.Did it ever occur to you that Ward's ugly, fan unfriendly style and not his race or nationality is why he is not more popular? Boxing is a sport and not politics. I root for the fighters I like and their race and nationality have nothing to do with that.

Doesnt matter. I root for the flag. When I Watch the US Open tennis why does the crowd root for American players? Or the same for the French fans at the French open? Why do Filipinos root for Manny? Etc.. As an American, I root for American Fighters regardless of skin color, just as I would during the Olympics. If my best friend from another country was Boxing my worst enemy from America, I would STILL root for the American only because of the flag. 'Murica.
