You can win the WBC title in the ring. The WBC title is recognized as a world championship all throughout the world.

Yes many have chosen to recognize multiple world titles. Just as tennis and golf have multiple major titles.

But historically, going back a century, the WBC & WBA (formed out of the IBU/NYSAC/NBA/etc) are the world championships of boxing and anybody holding both titles was universally recognized as world champion.

Nobody is forcing you to recognize newer belts that don't have that lineage or pedigree.

Once the WBA began recognizing three world champions in ever division, it became very clear that the WBC was the true world championship of boxing. And every fighter and every promoter knows the green belt is the one most recognized around the world and the most valuable in the marketplace.

I'm not arguing that that used to matter. For sure the WBC & WBA used to be The Champion. I'm sorry to tell you, but that's no longer the case after 3 decades of f#ckery with corrupt abc groups including the WBC & WBA. The 4 belt structure have perversely saturated the meaning of the once meaningful term of "world champion" & the agreed upon #1 guy by most fans, pundits & indie rankings can be a guy who holds any particular belt.

No one is forcing me to believe none of the belts mean anything in regards to being The Champion anymore either. But that's the reality whether you accept it or not.

Your just being delusional, stubborn or a prisoner to how things used to be.

LOL I'm starting to think you are just trolling me you are being so illogical about this. But respect to you if you actually believe this or just wanna believe it. Hell man I'd rather believe you are right truth be told lol. I'm envious of your delusion, but I can't make myself believe a delusion is the difference between you & I.

Yes, the media will allow stars to hide behind any of the four recognized belts, but that doesn't change the fact that for most fighters, being a WBC champion is far more lucrative than being a WBO champion. If you don't pay attention to purse bids and purses, that's your choice. But don't argue about things you know absolutely nothing about.
