See how active UK promoters are in this sport? The guy just fought last week and they're already in talks with his next fight. In contrast, where is Thurman now? Where is Garcia, the other Charlo, Lara, Andrade, Broner, Peterson, etc. They're nowhere to be found. As if they suffered life threatening injuries. As usual, they're expected to come back after 7-12 months. How the hell would this sport supposed to flourish at this rate?

The fact Lipinets is a mandatory is ******ed to start with& I'm a Lipinents fan. But I can't say I blame Indongo or Hearn for going for a fight for 2.2M vs a fight for $750k for example even if they gotta drop 1 corrupt belt to only defend his other corrupt belt for more money.

Bottom line for me is Indongo is 34 years, he's got 2 corrupt abc belts only one of which he could lose for not fighting a bs mandatory fight.

In fairness to Broner he's staying relevant by being shot at today.

I don't see the point of covering whatever the hell these inactive fighters do outside the ring. He fights once a year now, so what's the point? As opposed to Crawford, for example, who is active, thus what he does outside the ring becomes relevant.

Money/opportunity makes the world go round; locking down the relationship with Indongo's camp, there's nothing to block Haymon and Hearn from working out a deal that works for everyone, whether the mandatory is next or not.

If Eddie Hearn can deliver something for Lipinets that would warrant some flexibility on the mandatory (and still get Lipinets his title shot), there's no reason why Lipinets' camp won't hear him out.

                  event #1:
                  Indongo-Davies (IBF #9)
                  Lipinets (IBF #1)-Ricky Burns/Anthony Crolla

                  event #2:
                  Lipinets-Indongo/Davies winner

just spitballing here, but locking in 2 nice checks (and the title shot) isn't a bad deal
