Fight of the weekend: Valdez V Marriaga.

Lot of good fights this week, but this is the best matchup. Guaranteed Slobberknocker.

Ive said for a couple years now, Valdez is the real deal. people criticize anything/everything, yes he wings a bit at times, but hey, at least he's getting em out of there.

Sometimes you can't win, If he was a paulie type dude, it would be 'boooo this dudes boring, cant crack an egg'

ps: where the hell is this televised?

yeah, hes one tough SOB, and punches like a mule.

IF valdez stops him, which i think he will, it will officially be his coming out party.

I knew this fight would be amazing and it was. That 10th round is movie fuel. Awe inspiring.

Marriaga is a machine and has no quit in him. Valdez has a ****ing chin on him, power to topple anyone in his division and showed wrinkles to his game. Can he improve? Yup. And that's fine, you only get better by reflecting and seeing your mistakes. Something Valdez can review with this fight since I believe he didn't work the body enough and he really should tighten up his power punches.

Still though, that 10th round was something else. Marriaga was mounting an impressivr offense and Valdez was looking like he was at the point of succumbing but then boom! He detonated a bomb that scrambled Marriaga's brains and it was a grueling last minute of the round. Great stuff.

word, i just re-watched it again, my hair stood up during round 10. goddamn that was crazy.

Ive said this for a while now but Jo jo Diaz V Valdez needs to be built up for next year, its THE fight to make in the division, it could be a barrera v morrales type trilogy !

If Diaz manages to somehow get his hands on Selbys title and set up a unification that would be perfect

Round 10 is definitely a ROTY candidate.
