Only thing that has changed is that Ward and Kovalev fought to basically a draw, depending on whose side you take.

Hell, if you want to, you can make an argument that Lomachenko beat a top10 or borderline top10 P4P fighter in Walters and is most deserving of top spot - if that's what you're going for. But it's a silly idea.
Didn't Ward defeat Froch when he was a top 10 fighter? Manny was up there, not Frampton.

P4p is based primarily on skill not resume

But that just gives fighters excuse to not test themselves and coiast

PAC beats Barrera, Morales and jmm. Why would Floyd fight these guys if he can just pass the eye test fighting inferior fighters and stay at no1?
Who would PAC need to beat to be no1? If PAC was naturally Floyd's size wouldn't PAC ko Floyd in most peoples opinions?

Honestly I don't see how Ward's style and skills would put him at the top of the list ahead of Gonzalez, Loma, Garcia, PAC, Crawford or Thurman. They would be too fast for him and his clinching, low output, and dirty tactics wouldn't work to his advantage the way it did with lumbering Euro-bots at 168/175 that he was thriving against.
That's what i thought...it seems to be more of a lifetime achievement award according to some posters on here. I've yet to see a p4p thread that doesn't turn into an argument about resumes.

Is this aimed at Gonzalez, Lomachenko, or Golovkin?
