    problem is.....

    * whilst matthyse has been fighting at a higher level than jeff horn..... I suspect that matthyse is done, and will be less effective at welter..... So, fact: pac will beat the dog-**** out of matthyse, no question in my mind

    so fk that fight

    * i have never watched horn fight, don't know anything about him..... He has the typical advantages, young strong lion doe..... But unless he is an outstanding fighter he will fall way short of pacquiao

horn brings an " unknown " factor..... Whereas matthyse brings an air of inevitability

horn sounds much better..... A natural welter, young, undefeated, champion, etc..... Whereas matthyse is none of those things..... Horn could fall way short, whereas matthyse could possibly survive/rally/finish the fight..... Or it could go the other way around..... I wonder if you're right?

Neither are much to get excited about
    horn brings absolutely nothing.....

Maidana is miles ahead of Matthysse. At least Maidana doesn't quit his fights.

Good way for Jose Benavidez Jr. to announce his arrival! Or maybe that would be a house-warming gift for Lucas' new home @ 147? Make it happen! Who is Benavidez Jr.'s promoter?

Put him in there with Broner and get a last payday, he's done at elite level.

Horn is a school teacher who just happens to be fairly good at boxing, only recently has he made it full time. Lucas' whole family are boxers and he's been living it for 20 or so years. Lucas has power to stop anyone, Horn is a fairly well balanced fighter who does nothing exceptionally. No contest, Pacquiao will crush horn, absolute mismatch but it'll break records in Australia. Also Horn got dropped in his last fight by an ancient Ali Funeka. I think I know which fight I'd rather see...even if I am admittedly a tad biased.

Matthysse is a solid fighter but he's done, one of the fighters that should have been champion!

His trainer didn't instruct him correctly in the Postol fight(not parrying the jab or moving laterally away from it), his corner had no endswell in the Garcia fight(a miracle they even got his eye kind of open), and management out him in a championship fight way too early after he just came from a brutal fight with the always dangerous Provodnikov!

One of the few guys I had a pleasure to watch, KO power, decent boxer, helluva engine, showed he had heart vs Garcia, Provodnikov, and Molina Jr. just was unfortunately fell short of being a world champion(would've been if didn't mind giving up interim WBC belt for the IBF when he beat Peterson)

He can beat Broner, Collazo, Berto, and Khan but too bad he won't get past Thurman, Brook, Spence and maybe even Garcia again!

His best bet is a past prime Pacquiao and if he'd beat Postol that fight would've likely happened!

He has to beat Taylor first which I don't think is a gimme at all. No telling how Lucas will be after the long layoff. But assuming he wins and looks good there are multiple guys at 147 that also came from 140 like lucas. Broner, khan, bradley, rematch garcia, rematch Peterson, Pacquiao (who arum wanted to match him with if he beat postol). Those are the guys he should go after where size won't be an issue.
