You have to neutralize Ward's inside game and keep him on the distance to win the fight. Kovalev doesn't have the tools to beat Ward. I'm not hating or trolling, I really don't see a way how Kovalev can win this fight

Did you see the first half of the fight? I was expecting ward to school him but he was the one getting beat to the punch and he was on the end of kovalevs shots. he couldnt close the distance, got rammed by the jab and even dropped trying to close distance.

He was literally overwhelmed and surprised by the range and timing of kovalev. then kovalev fatigued and ward survived to decision. Thats what happened no bias here.

I watched the vid and it seems they scored the fight after it was over instead of going by slow mo cameras and watching for legal punch by punch landed each round!

Kovalev was THEE champion, why does Ward get the benefit of the doubt in every so called, "close round" when he should be the one trying to prove something!

I hear folks say,"well Kovalev was hurt by bodyshots and kept clinching and refusing to fight on the inside" but yet you ignore Kov's short hooks and him responding to Ward coming in with his head and fouling the man?!

Ward as the challenger has to make a clearer effort to win rounds and he didn't! It's a history in boxing as the onus is, as the CHAMPION you get the benefit of the doubt not some guy who makes it ugly and is getting outlanded and hit by the more effective shots!

I have yet to see any of you fools explain how Ward won round 10 which is the round that all 3 judges had it for Ward in which if you actually watched Kov was hitting him more CLEARLY and that was why Ward got The decision, not that he earned Iike he shamefully claims!

When I first watched the fight I thought it was a close chess match affair that Kov win by 1 or 2 points but after seeing a video where all total punches landed(even add Ward's slap shots and illegal hits) he still lost the fight!

This will clear up those who isn't still sure who won the fight and will ruffle the feathers of those who aren't real boxing fans but have cognitive dissonance and will still refuse even if proof is right in their face before their very eyes!

Schooled and clinic are 2 of the most over used words in boxing.

The video proved what a schooling it was, Ward is just a master at making fights ugly to make it look like the other guy is fighting his fight in which Kovalev choses to!

If one guy continues to beat the other guy to the punch with harder shots even when he's gassed you wouldn't consider that a schooling?

Ward and Ward fans change the narrative almost everyday, one day it's Kov who was broken down by bodyshots(funny the "bodyshots didn't land until the 6th round, a round after in which Kov started to gas, before not after) and I'm even hearing Ward will kick his ass again?? What?? You guys don't watch boxing, go back to playing water polo or golf because boxing is obviously not for you!!

Kov said before the fight that he wanted to show fans he can box with a guy who folks said was the better boxer and he proved he was the superior boxer!

He fought Ward's fight and beat him but the judges gave the decision to Ward!

Kovalev won't make the same mistake twice, he had respect for Ward in the first fight almost too much and he's coming with NONE at all! Ward's years of spoiling, illegal moves and fouling tactics will all come back to him on June 17!

Kovalev will make it Ward's full time job tasting the canvass like a food and art convention!
