emanuel steward would have him laying all over everyone, though with his huge size it would probably lead him to alot of victories. that much weight all over you would make an hw tire out very quickly...

quite honestly, I could and would have continued if it wasnt for my trainer. I mean, he got me in incredible shape and got me fighting hard as hell but he was just reckless when it came to fighting. I had a lung infection for this fight against a guy who had ko'd me a few years earlier in the state Golden Gloves finals. I was prime to fight this guy again and then I got the lung infection. Bed ridden during the training he made me go through with the fight. I was dead tired in the 2nd round, couldnt breathe at all. I ended up losing a split decision and the crowd all booed because they thought that I had won. I left the ring, showered picked up my check and walked away from the sport.

At that time I didnt know who to trust. People were talking in my ear about Jackie and they were trying to pull me in every direction to hook up with them. The lies that are told in the game are shamefull. I was told that if I was to back out of that fight, even though I just wanted to reschedule for next month, that I would be blackballed and would not fight in the state again. I was told that Vacca had said this, the promoter. I asked him about it and he said that he had no idea that I was sick and that he wanted to bring me back and build me as a Palace fighter, that the crowd really loved me. Thats all I ever wanted and had dreamed of being a palace fighter since I had began boxing. I told him Im done with the sport, got my check and walked away from the game.

I can understand to a degree what stress Tyson must have had with all of the people pulling him this way and that. They are/can be an unscrupulous bunch of people in this game. The best thing to do is to find someone that you can trust. It will pay off in the end. I had Jackie with me, but with all of the **** that they talked in my ear I didnt know who to trust. I know that Jackie can be trusted 100%. Just wish I had trusted my instincts back then with the situations that arose.......

Tito Trinidad: He got to the point in his career where he could not advance with his one dimensional style. With a trainer to concentrate on boxing technique around the ring, he could make a comeback and beet many good fighters.

Lovemore Ndou: This guy is as tough as they come. He keeps coming and has great heart and stamina. A different trainer could really change this guy.

Vasilly Jirov: Has the power and determenation but not much technical skills. He goes in and just comes after you swinging. Only if he knew how to throw a good jab and be a little patient.

Zab Judah would be better off with a new trainer I think his daddy don't know anything about boxing, Zab use to be one of my favorite fighters until he stepped up with the big names in boxing and lose but I still like him

arturo gatti if he had used buddy his whole career would not have been as exciting as he was early on but he would have been a much better champion and a top notch fighter not a b class or even what some would say a c class fighter.

i would have to say mike tyson. you have to look at his caeer before and after his trainer died. i think and i dont know if everyone will agree but if he would have stayed with his team he would have never lost to buster. i mean come on. they put cold water in a glove to bring the swelling down over tyson's eye. he would have been better trained and prolly would have beaten buster early. i still think hoplyfield would have beaten him bc holyfield was just to good than. but he would still have an ear and prolly would have been two of the all time greatest fights. he may even still be fighting now you dont know. he may be a champion bc he would have been around people who kept him in check.

The thing with Gatti would of been better if he had mcgirt sooner but mcggirt was fighting till 1997 meaning mcgirt would of retired and went straight to training not a very good rest imo

i agree with almost every post so far though aside from mike not being up there yet.

You beat me to it, Mike is defintley number 1 just look at his career before ROONEY and after ROONEY, the only reason Mike left ROONEY was becuz he was to hard on him training-wise, and Mike took the easy road by signing with Don King and for it got his ASS_WHOOPED!
