Eric Harding! If he had someone like Manny Steward or Teddy Atlas who understood his identity better, he would've had more success. He was well on his way towards a second win over Tarver, and then Al Gavin (R.I.P.) told him to try to back him up. Harding wasn't a good aggressive fighter, he was a counterpuncher. As a result, Tarver blasted him out of there with a very damaging beating and a half.

definetely george foreman. if he had someone making him train hard and teaching him how to punch correctly, he probably would be the best hw ever, even better than ali. did i just say that?

roy jones jr - if he developed a more traditional fighting style and defence, his career would have lasted longer and he probably wouldn't have been ko'd.

zab judah - i don't think his dad is that good of a trainer, he's loud and animated, i think zab would be better with someone like buddy mcgirt or freddy roach because they both train sucessfull southpaws, and maybe they can discipline him better.

chris byrd - he needs a trainer that will get him to move his feet and utilize his head movement like before, his last fight against wlad he just stood toe to toe with him and we all know how that went.

jeff lacy - he's too one dimensional, he definately needs to sharpen his boxing skills and upper body movement, right now he's just a head hunter, he'll always loose to slick boxers if he stays that way.

          as far as current boxers/trainers.

I think Evangelista Cotto is ****.

I definetly think cotto could only improve with a diffrent trainer.

not to sound too cliche', but definately mike tyson. if he had any corner strength whatsoever (aka- stuck with his original catskill crew) he would have been so dominant for so long.

i agree with almost every post so far though aside from mike not being up there yet.

Mike is human, so he would have lost eventually. His style of fighting is not destined for longevity. However, I agree with the Rooney scenario. If he had kept the original Catskill Crew...he would have been remembered better. More importantly than his technique, they reinforced his resolve. We never would have seen an ear-biting incident, an attempted arm-break...and probably no **** case. They kept Mike in check, helped him hold his demons at bay...King encouraged him to let them loose.
