What's disproportionate about it? Gay people exist, and some of them will enjoy punching people for a living. There aren't as many gay boxers as straight boxers, because there aren't as many gay people as straight people.

Honestly I don't see that many gay or "suspect" boxers where I think it's weird.

Ironically, Mayweather is probably the first guy most thought of when reading this thread. Personal biases aside, he's exceptionally effeminate in his demeanour. The clothes he wears, the pedicures, the grooming of teenage boys - it's suspect to say the least.

But it's not really surprising. Mayweather lacked a strong male figure in his life growing up and was raised by females. Gays will generally have a much stronger bond with their mother than their father.

I cannot understand the obsession with athlete's sexuality. Emile Griffith was an ATG fighter and a known ****sexual. Tough as anyone in and out of the ring. Does that somehow tarnish his legacy or accomplishments? It's not as though gay fighters are coming into the ring grabbing their opponents junk. Look at Broner, humping on Maidana from behind, you telling me that dude isn't a little swishy, telling his corner to comb his hair after a fight? But he's a trash talking thug so he gets a pass?
