I notice everybody just ignores you in regards to this topic but I'll school you real quick.

Salido took a legit L to Martinez in their first fight then came back and beat his ass in the rematch that resulted in a disgusting robbery. Virtually all media had Salido winning comfortably.

The Vargas fights was considered by most a draw, but a lot of people feel Salido won that too.

At worst Salido should be 1W-1L-1D in his last 3 fights. At best 2W-1L. Factor in two Fights Of The Year and you got a motherf**ker that deserves to get paid.

Salido isn't the type to ask for $1M like Roman Gonzalez, I'm sure he just wants his fair share for a Lomachenko fight.

Say there's $1M for the fight. I think $550,000 for Lomachenko and $450,000 for Salido is fair.

The problem is Salido probably sees what Lomachenko is getting paid (which would probably be between $700,000 and $1M) and feels like he is getting ripped off.

You can't expect Salido to be comfortable with Lomachenko's purse most likely doubling his and you can't expect Lomachenko to take a pay cut to cater to Salido's feelings. I doubt the fight gets made unless like always the Mexican sacrifces something to get the fight done.

Sorry for some of you guys, but if Lomachenko isn't bothered by that loss to Salido, then you cannot do anything about it. That loss was his 2nd pro fight with some bull**** put in by Salido before and during the fight and still came close to winning.

Salido can either take the allegedly 300K offer or take the Walters route.

Deserves has nothing to do with it sadly - you must have realised by now it doesn't work like that. Bob will offer Siri what he offers and Siri will have to make the decision... Lomachenko will be fine, the blot on his record (if you see it as such) would not be erased in the eyes of many anyway since Salido is older and more shopworn. Still, I for one wouldn't mind seeing it, though I'd honestly prefer Loma to take on new challenges - Berchalt, Corrales and then maybe a move to 135.

I agree salido should have taken that first offer. big mistake now arum is going to really lowball him. as far loma's 1 loss goes, if he moves up and dominates at lightweight everyone will forget about it. I guarantee it.

Lomachenko wants to fight Garcia at 135 yet he's ducking a rematch with Salido? What a bunch of morons on this site. That's all I have to say on the subject.

Firstly, Lomachenko isn't offering him anything. Arum is the one making the offer. Secondly, if you really believe he's ducking the rematch with salido, well you apparently don't know this kid well. He wants to avenge that loss. Salido can hold out because he's getting knocked out in a rematch, and THAT is why he wants to get paid.

Loma has already gone down in the history books as possibly the best amateur fighter ever. He has already re-written history with his career so far. He has every chance of continuing to rewrite it.

Salido is a guy who cheated his way to a win, which is the only claim to fame he will ever have. When he retires, the only thing he will be known for is for cheating his way to a meaningless win over a true great fighter. Other than that he is nothing and nobody. No-one will remember his career, no-one will care about him. Just another dirty brawler.

Loma has already surpassed him in everything. Even if some cretins want to give credit to Salido for cheating - people who obviously aren't fans of boxing - in the long run people will know Loma's name all across the globe, and Salido will never be thought of ever again.

He can take 300K and be grateful for the opportunity to get into the ring with Loma again, although this time there needs to be a clause which says he forfeits the entire amount if he comes in overweight, or if the ref deducts even a single point for fouls (and a legit ref is needed).

Or, he can refuse the money, retire, and tell his grandchildren that his only claim to fame is that he once cheated to get a win over a better boxer, and hope that they are too young to know how shameful that is.

Loma is a star, he has already moved past Salido. Getting a rematch is just for nostalgia's sake, and will be useful for silencing the kind of fuckwits who want to criticise Loma for being beaten by a cheater. But those same fuckwits are fortunately rare enough that they don't really matter, they aren't even fans of boxing anyway.

Loma will take on Mikey Garcia, and when he wins the cretins who bleat about how he 'lost' to Salido will be laughed off the forums.

When you praise a cheater, when you put stock in a cheater's performances, then you aren't a boxing fan. Might as well suck on Margarito's plaster-wrapped cock while you are at it.

bashing salido isnt gonna change that he beat Loma

sure he is older, more shop worn, gets dropped more often now

That makes it easier for Loma...no excuses if he beats him again

Salido's aggression, subtle veteran moves on defense is why he survives...he rides shots, uses both shoulders, and has a lot of heart

pay the man, kill 2 birds with one stone...Lomas revenge...carry on his career....salido can retire with a decent check.
