This isn't true. Some posters are critical of ggg's resume. As soon as they express any criticism, the ggg fans get offended that someone they feel is good for the sport is being fairly criticized.

Their only defense is to create the false narrative that non whites are the only ones doing the criticism. Making the criticism race or nationality based when it's boxing based allows them to disregard the criticism rather than discuss it like adults because the criticism is true, factual, constructive and fair.

It's sad that this same group is now doing same with kov and are starting to do this with loma. The mods allow this type of defense so it only emboldens the very worst ggg/kov fans to continue doing this.

Hopefully, honest and rational posters will not fall for this type of dishonest race baiting.

Lol yeah seriously.. a post that is anything other than high praise for GGG is guaranteed to trigger some sensitive poster on NSB. And despite the fact that both White and Black posters have made constructive criticisms about his accomplishments and standing, those posters insist that the criticism must be race-based.

It's an even bigger reach when it comes to Lomachenko, who is widely praised by almost every single poster on the forum.

Ok, I'll bite. White boxers do tend to get **** on here, but white boxers also get so much more hype and opportunities than other fighters do. Even a semi-proven white fighter will get dates on HBO the second they find him. So I can understand some fans being bitter when they have to keep hearing and see pretty much every white fighter hyped up so quickly by the media while some other very talented fighters seem to have a rougher road to get to stardom. But its a double edged sword for white fighters because they also have to REALLY prove themselves to have many of boxing fans give them any credit whatsoever. Some guys like GGG (mixed race) will get an entire career of people just sitting around until he loses so they can say "Another great white hope like I've been saying all along." Even if he managed to retire 50-1. So yeah. Good and bad aspects to being a white boxer.
