Canelo wasn't prime and really? the best name on his resume is Castillo and Hatton?

Floyd is the best fighter in the last 25 years, his resume will be picked apart and dissected, that's a given. He will also be used as a measuring stick for fighters they think who are great (i.e. Lomachenko).

"They think are great"? Loma has already won titles in two weight classes with only 9 fights. Floyd fought a guy with a 1-13-1 record for his 9th fight. Loma's greatness only goes up from here.

You're nitpicking what I said. Why quote "they think are great" as a negative? Lol, that's lame as hell.

And yeah, you're right, but Floyd started younger, so it doesn't matter. Floyd in his 9th fight was 20 years old, Lomachenko is almost a decade older at 29 years old in his 9th fight. So yea of course Lomachenko will have a sense of urgency to skip the introductory classes via testing-out and go straight to intermediate one's.

Everyone seems to be singling out Floyd's resume when bringing up Lomachenko. I don't see anyone bringing up Pacquiao's 9th fight, or Jones' 9th fight, or Hopkins' 9th fight, or Leonard's 9th fight, or Sugar Ray Robinson's 9th fight, or Ali's 9th fight. It's only Floyd's 9th fight, it's only when did Floyd get his title, no one else because measuring revolves around Floyd...we don't think he's the GOAT, his critics come off like he is

Its a shame that this has to be explained to people Kev. That said, great response.

i can't think of anyone who is more hype job than floyd mayweather jr. all he did was to run and hug inside the ring. even his opponent beat him in the punch and everything he still win the decision with the help of ref and judges.

The reason people aren't brining up Pac, Jones, Leonard or other ATG fighter's 9th fight is because it isn't their fans who are bashing Loma, it's by and large Floyd fans. It's Floyd fans who are totally dismissing him.

This isn't nitpicking this is merely making an observation of what you wrote. If you are going to write it, then own it. No need to make excuses for Floyd's age or Loma's late start. Let's see what happens if Loma fights a guy in his 24th fight with a record of 22-16-4...watch the hate spill out all over the twitterverse. Double standards man.

This is totally false, couldn't be further from the truth. You're being dishonest.

Fans started saying Lomachenko is already greater than Floyd, out of the blue, just for ****s and giggles. Floyd fans disagreed. That's when it started.

Don't come lying your ass off about what happened. Talking about Floyd fans are dissing Lomachenko. You mean they disagreed with those who were saying Lomachenko is better than him. Stop creating some silly narrative of Floyd fans vs Lomachenko.

That's not an "excuse", that's the truth. There's no excuse in saying Lomachenko is 29 in his 9th fight and Floyd was 20 in his 9th fight.

Even if it's explained it doesn't matter, they will bypass the age factor in all this. I would like to see Lomachenko fight Flanagan and Linares before losing to Mikey, I think those are two easy fights for him. I like watching him fight, but he has his limitations. It's not only Salido who will beat him. If size is really a big issue for him, then Salido will not be his lone loss. To be as great as 'overrated hype job' Floyd was, he's gonna have to get used to being in a 10-17lb disadvantage every single fight for the rest of his career.
