Oscar has become a mouth without a brain. I am sure Canelo likes the money he has made by fighting carefully picked opponents who come in the ring past their prime ,on the way down, or weight drained, but I doubt if he will be happy with the way history judges him.Dont brag about Trout and Lara either a lot of us think he lost.

I respect the boxers of decades past way more than those of today.

They fought for honor, money and glory. I've been a boxing fan for decades and today's product pales in comparison to the real fights and fighters of years past.

I don't understand why all of you are getting butt hurt about Oscars comments. It's his job as the promoter of this fight to hype up the boxers and the event to maximize earnings for everyone involve. Anyone, that takes him literally obviously doesn't understand what a promoter job is. Of course Canelo vs JR isn't the biggest fight in boxing history anyone with half a brain understands that.

I agree, but making fun of promoters is as much a part of it as booing the umpire at a baseball game. The only difference is umpires try to make the right call and promoters try to sucker the public.

Americans are weird. So many countries would love to have the opportunities the USA has. Of course no country is perfect... the USA continues to be a mysterious melting pot where hate continues to strive. In the real world the USA is always criticized for not having original culture with its 400+ year run... To the outside world it's still premature.
