Mikey Garcia was at the LA Fight Club last night wearing a Golden Boy hat. He mentioned less then a month ago that he had talks of signing with Golden Boy.

“I’m still a free agent but we spoke to Golden Boy a few weeks ago and [Oscar De La Hoya] presented something for me that’s very interesting,” Garcia told CBS Sports. “We weren’t able to lock anything in because of time scheduling for the fight he was showing me, but we talked to him."

And now he showing up at Golden Boy events wearing their hats? Wonder if there is something here with a signing on the way. Robert Garcia is very close with Golden Boy and has been sending a lot of his top prospects to sign with Golden Boy. Seems like Robert is pushing him to sign with Golden Boy

The big names at 130, 135, and 140 are not signed with haymon. Haymon is loaded at 126 and 147 but his roster is soft in between. Golden Boy has many fighters at and around Mikey's weight. Especially Linares.
