can anyone give me a good reason the USA would rob Kova but not Golovkin?

It was a close fight and judges have one chance to score the round, live action, thousands of screaming fans, obstructed views, etc.

All you can hope for is that they turn in reasonable scores given the way the fight played out. And a 114-113 card for Ward is perfectly acceptable.

yeah...alot of these morons are under the impression that the judges are watching the HBO broadcast on a couch, listening to lampley, and watching replays from the cameras point of view

whether or not you agree that the fights were similar or not is irrelevant.....there was a legit chance to rob golovkin had corruption been present.....but they didnt

so what would be the motive behind robbing kovalev? ward isnt anything big in boxing.......if there was an american bias they woud have stood to gain just as much by having the big EE superstar beaten by the american cancer survivor........but that didnt happen did it?
I didn't read this because my reply wasn't to you.

Two different fights. Kovalev over Ward was a definite win, and the judges were either biased, blind or on the take.

          Golovkin/Jacobs was closer.

Kovalev and Glolovkin landed more shots than their opponents, cleaner shots, used better "ring generalship", and showed more effective aggression overall.

Jacobs was more active than Ward; he did more actual fighting, though still not enough to win.

          Neither fight was stellar.

but i like your screen name ...obviously anything you say regarding this subject shall be taken seriously!
I guess I should have made my screen name after a wrestling actor to be taken seriously. As far as color, a lot of these race baiting posters are mid 30 white males, on both sides. And if this isn't a race bait thread, then what's your take on it? (Of course, that's ignoring the major logical fallacy of your argument, being as that the "USA" , not even the same judges, scored both fights)

No. HBO wanted Ward to lose the Kovalev fight.

Sergei has much more crazy and newsworthy soundbites outside the ring.

There is no earthy reason HBO would want Ward to win more than Kovalev.

                  There was NO FIX.

Just 3 men who saw the fight more accurately than most of the fanboys or half drunk sportswriters that were there.
