How Much Of A Difference Did Walters' Layoff Make Against Loma?

While easily dismantling Walters was impressive, he did have that 11-month layoff. While it's impossible to tell for sure, how much of a difference do you think the layoff made? Do you think Walters would have won? Or would Walters still of lost in what would have been a more competitive match?

    Poll on the way..

Let's put it simply. No version of Walters that has ever existed beats Loma that night.

None. I Have watched the fight a few times and really can't see Walters beating him on any night.

            Arum didn't think so.
He could have made the fight at 126.

Walters didn't look like he tried at all. I'm sure he felt badly shafted going in, and folded from the stress, when it should have risen him to the occasion. Loma did not beat the best Walters.

                  Difficult to say.

Sharpness is important in any sport but there are still levels and grit is consistent.

I don't think he would get stopped but I doubt he'd dig deep once Loma figured him out. In other words, 117-111 type card.
