Aside from finally getting the opportunity to ko the ginger, there isn't a more meaningful fight for ggg than a rematch with jacobs. Based on how close the 1st fight was, it's even more significant than taking the wbo title from paper champion Saunders.

golovkin is officially done for me..........i don't care what the 3 turds in this thread thats defending this trash says. the first fight was a damn toss up. a ****ing toss up fight!!! a close razor thin fight. go to hell for who ever tries to argue it was a "comfortable win" you're lying to your turd self.

this man jacobs trained his a** off. did more then enough to damn near beat golovkin. he's warranted his rematch. the true heart of a champion. in fact it should be next but golovkin got so sore and half way injured in that fight to the point of wanting nothing to do with jacobs again.

The title of the thread says "3 or 4 fights down the road," the body of the story ends with "5 or 6 fights down the road." Translation: Jacobs is never getting a rematch!

Except that's not what he is saying. He is saying the next 3 or 4 fights are tentatively scheduled and that Jacobs would be 5 to 6 fights down the road. Maybe he is hopeful of two Alvarez fights, Saunders, then a move to 168 for a couple of rematches.

then back to earth for the Jacobs rematch

They should try to fight Jacobs as soon as viable. It's not right now, and I'm not sure Jacobs even wants to get in there with Golovkin that soon. But next year perhaps.
