The title of the thread says "3 or 4 fights down the road," the body of the story ends with "5 or 6 fights down the road." Translation: Jacobs is never getting a rematch!

GGG should retire now. He is old enough.

A Jacobs rematch can happen at 168 also.
Except that's not what he is saying. He is saying the next 3 or 4 fights are tentatively scheduled and that Jacobs would be 5 to 6 fights down the road. Maybe he is hopeful of two Alvarez fights, Saunders, then a move to 168 for a couple of rematches.

Lmao! This duck! And people dare to compare this guy to Mayvinci! How many fights down the row did it take for Mayvinci to rematch Castillo and Maidana?

3 or 4 fights is another way of saying "we are not taking that risk!" Canelo is not going to fight him in September and G will resort back to fighting beer cans again.

No point going over old ground, GGG won comfortably, there are too many other fights to be made. Jacobs should focus on fighting Lemieux or someone like that.

pfft really?! Mayvinci had legit controversial decisions in his favour, not like GGG's win over Jacobs. People who understand boxing know Jacobs lost to Golovkin.

I can understand bumping it behind the Canelo payday or the Saunders unification, but it should really be next on the list after that. Besides, the longer they wait, the more chance they have of losing. Golovkin is the one whose clock is ticking between the two of them

I guess they realise that they were very fortunate to escape the first fight without a loss
