Funny how he says that. Most people that are really into boxing including me give him a **** ton of credit with blind faith. It's not like he fights a lot. So I don't agree with Ward on this one.

Figures a dude with a boring ugly style will pull for another dude with a boring ugly style.

Now, I will say that Rigo has p4p #1 talent & skill. But he lacks a resume, because good fighters wont fight him and he has ZERO leverage to force a fight, seeing as he has to beg to be televised by Solo Boxeo. (I'd say the same about Ward, but he lost to Kovalev, so he doesn't have p4p #1 talent)

What Rigo & Ward both need to realize is that just because you have the talent to beat all the other fighters ---if you do it in a BORING UGLY fashion, nobody will want to watch you fight and you wont get paid.

Boring style? If Gennady snapped a guy's jaw in the second round would the ggg fans jiss and say 100 fanboysish things or say the same about Rigo?

Rigo could establish p4p #1 status by moving to 126 and fighting dudes like LSC, Frampy, Mares.

And I'd give him a good shot at beating those dudes.

BUT NO WAY THOSE DUDES fight Rigo!! Hells no. And he cant leverage those fights, because he has no pull in the boxing business.

Boxing is still an entertainment business, and I for one am not entertained by Rigo.

I did wonder if Rigo could move up to 126 and into no. 1 mando spot for LSC being the champ in the division below.. there was other instances of this too

As for ward putting him at no.1, talent wise, surely him and lomachenko are very close, arguably loma having done a bit more... was walters as good a scalp as donaire?

I think Rigo has the greatest skills, but hasn't done anything of value in a long time. I've got him in my top 10 but not for long unless he does something meaningful, soon.
