Haye was pulling ahead for sure, but Bellew was still in there which most said he wouldn't be and it was nowhere close to a demolition job. Bellew also outclassed Haye in the first couple of rounds and made Haye look clumsy.
I do believe Haye would have gone on to win, but he wasn't really looking levels above Bellew in there.
What was your honest prediction before the fight?
Anyway, aside from how good or bad Bellew is, I don't think Parker is that good either.Last edited by deathofaclown; 04-13-2017, 09:37 AM.Comment

I like the move. It makes sense to go for Parker. The other champs would kill him. Although i think Parker sparks him, why not take a shot? He "beat" Haye.Last edited by Butch.McRae; 04-13-2017, 10:01 AM.Comment

Don't really get the hate on here for Bellew, hes won two fights everyone thought he would lose and wants to bow out with a crack at the Hw Title. Sort of like what Joe Smith Jr has done really.
Parker fades as the rnds go on, their game plan will be pretty much exactly the same as the haye fight, "if" this comes off.
I'm not really a fan of Hughie, however he is technically sound, and most likely has a better engine then Parker. Parker prob has the spd adv, and def the power. The fight doesnt excite me at all though.
TBH I'd prefer to see Bellew / Parker, atleast you know bombs from both sides would get thrown.Comment

I have a feeling that Tony got a false sense of confidence by winning over a half-disabled Haye. But against Parker, yeah, I think he's got a chance. Also against junior Fury. But not a chance against AJ, real Fury or Wilder. We can criticize Wilder all we want, but he's got a punch and Tony isn't a slick, evasive fighter to make Wilder miss. Wilder will turn on the windmill and Tony will be blown away. Plus, Tony is just not big enough to be a really dominating HW in this era.Comment

He doesn't have the physique because he does not have the commitment. he's busy calling out guys like Haye and Parker as he knows his card is stamped at light heavy and cruiser.
Like it or not that was his cash out fight against Haye only he got lucky and we'll see him once more, I don't begrudge him and I like what Caldwell is saying, Wilder and Joshua are beyond him due to size, when Parker whacks this creme puff you'll stand up and acknowledge Joey, it's win win.
I don't rate Bellew in the least, I don't envy him but I sure dont pity him, he's done well for himself.Comment

He wast drained he was in the best shape of his career, dude was talking the talk before the fight and simply found his level against Chilemba. Ward, Krusher and Stevenson all had a foot hold and he knew the division wasnt for him.
All the other cruisers look in shape compared to him and they're as big some smaller but these guys are clearly more defined than the lazy approach Bellew.Comment
