Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew Wants a Crack at Joseph Parker - If He Beats Fury

According to head trainer Dave Coldwell, former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KOs) would be willing to stick around the heavyweight division for one more fight, a showdown with WBO world champion Joseph Parker (22-0, 18 KOs). Last month, Bellew pulled off a major upset when he moved up to the heavyweight division and stopped two-division world champion David Haye at the O2 Arena in London.

that's a winnable fight for Bellew, Bellew should be called the kings of upsets, Makabu and Haye, and probably Parker

I'd pick Bellew to win , Parker has been hurt before & Bellew has some power for a Cruiserweight, that Kiwi getting eaten.

He could not even stop a 1 legged fighter, Parker would do him in 1 round

Tony did well against Haye but I think Haye looked the worst we've ever seen him .Too much time out of the ring too much weight and slower than ever.Tony would be best advised to consider this before the likes of younger fresher bigger guys.

But good luck to him it's good to see a success story even though he can irritate on a grand level.

The Bellend couldn't even go twelve rounds with Carlos Takam or Andy Ruiz -- can he even beat a shot Dereck Chisora? I think the 'Prince' Charles Martin sparks him even with the layoff to be honest.

You're just mad because my boy Tony has a better HW record than Deontay already, lmao

Tony Bellend does not make it past five rounds with the REAL 'Bomber'.

If Bellew wants a crack at winning a HW title, this would be the best route for sure. Whether he could win it or not is another matter completely. I think it might be a stretch too far but i don't blame him for wanting a crack at it if he gets the opportunity.

But who knows. Those writing him off and dismissing his Haye performance are the ones who said he'd get smashed in a round off Haye and he was still in there being competitive even when Haye hadn't injured himself.

He was a 3x national champion as a heavyweight in the amateurs. He's definitely a better fighter above 175, he was a zombie there.

I wouldn't give him a huge chance at winning, but i wouldn't say he has no chance either.

Parker is a bum, the bomber will spark him out. Easy work.
