Burns has been active. You gotta fight the fights to keep your actual ranking and even more so to stay relevant in the eyes of the fans. I don't have any problem with any type of unification. I get more frustrated by people like Saunders who won't get off the pot.
Really bruh??? Are you gonna pretend that Saunders is the reason he and GGG ain't fighting in June? Are you gonna pretend that Saunders team didn't pretty much piss away money paying his mandatory a step aside fee in order to fight GGG? GTFOH with that bull****.

You had to jump in 'cos I mentioned Saunders didn't ya? I said LIKE Saunders. I also mean Stevenson, Abraham when he was champ, that other German guy who was the WBA regular LHW champ for years but never fought anyone. There's been loads down the years.

But now you got all antsy lets examine - Saunders has sat on his pot until now. These latest events? Looks like to me K2 has said they'll wait to sign a fight with Canelo after the Jr fight - depending on the result. If anything happens then Saunders is going to be in with GGG in September. If GGG fights Canelo in September - and wins - then Saunders can be in the ring for December. So yeah, Saunders is off the pot for now but he was on it so long that it backed up and he started spouting shit.

Exactly. Nobody wants to see that again. Bigger waste of time than PAC Bradley 3

A guy who ducked broner should never reach unified champ status lol. Now if burns wins and fights broner that would be ok

The stars like Crawford, GGG, Ward and Loma can't shine if there aren't solid contender types to shine against.
Absolutely. Guys like Burns are the bread and butter of boxing. Maybe not born with the gifts of others but I doubt there is ANYONE who has dedicated himself to the sport more than he has. Like you, I appreciate what these guys have given to boxing.
But hey, we're boxing fans, not boxing fanboys. Some peoples just don't get it.

Burns is well past his best and indongo may have won a fluke....that doens't mean this won't be a fun fight and Indongo can punch. Plus it's for 2 of the 4 available belts and that's always a big thing.

People are talking like 140 is a quality division, it isn't. Whoever wins is rightfully number 2 out there.

War Indongo! He looked long in the fight vs russki, but there wasn't much more I could tell. Throws a heavy counter if opp is out of position. Burns blowout v Crawford was so one sided, that I'm surprised he ever got another title shot.

Indongo has to win this, it's a joke if Burns becomes a unified Champion at 140.... Indongo at least cold****ed Troyanovsky so him having 2 belts is better.

Damn to think Matthysse never won a belt at 140 but Ricky Burns could have 2 by the end of the night lol.

Is belt unification really the holy grail of boxing? Or, is it only important when GGG is chasing some bum with a belt? Because none of you assh0les seem interested in these bums unifying meaningless trinkets.
