Don't know why anyone would be against neutral judges. Unless of course you don't care about the level playing field, as long as you can get the win, deservedly or not.

Duva tried to pull some nonsense that excludes every US judge from the pool.

Beyond just California judges, Duva says no Texas judges, no Nevada judges, no New York judges, not New Jersey judges, etc.

You're down to looking at Canadian judges, Mexican judges, UK/EU judges, Latin American judges, and judges from Japan/Asia and Africa.

point to 5 world-rated judges across all of those regions.

I don't believe so, and that's just being honest. If he drops Ward 2-3 times then maybe yeah.

I don't think Ward's a coward, but he fights roughly once a years, sometimes less and drags his feet with every bout. It's easy to see why fans get tired of his antics.

I think the officials get chosen by the commission after the fight gets signed, I think Ward has no say on who the judges should or shouldn't be and if Duva's request got turned down it did because of the commission, Andre Ward already signed tge contract.
