Perfect example of boxing tripping over its own **** again. The first fight is hotly contested and when given the chance to do something that seems like the obvious, fair thing to do, they refuse. Who knows who we will end up with but it shouldn't be three Americans.

Just watch the reaction of the yanks if the 3 judges at his fight with brook were all brits. Given how much the yanks already whine about hometown advantage he would refuse to come and fight.

Huh? Ward insisted on the judges being american, if that didnt happen, he would have stalled longer and there would be no rematch. That was all part of the A Side talk, Ward wanted everything in his favor, otherwise no fight.

Huh? I think Duva should have all this written in the original contract with the rematch clause. It's not news that Ward always wants his fights in the us and with us judges. Those issues should have been taken care of from the getgo. Complaining now is just silly and displays the bad promotor work she has done.

Ward is a joke. He's a protected fighter who is allowed to hold and foul at will. I've said it numerous times Kovalev needs a knockout to win this. Kovalev was robbed in the first fight and will be again if it goes to a decision. The big money in boxing want Ward to maintain the title. Now Ward's handlers are objecting to a call for neutral judges, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out why. Best thing that could happen for real boxing fans is a first round knockout of Ward

Of course they do. Didnt you know that it's actually the boxers themselves that make up the rules, pick the judges, decide on the scoring beforehand, who wins and how, what ref they'll use and which penalties will be enforced.

How do you think Floyd got to 49-0?! It's not like he was actually good and won his fights with good boxing.

how do you explain all the judges giving round 10 to ward? whether they wanted to cheat for him or not they did. maybe they just like him better who knows but their scoring reflected a bias towards him when they gave a dominant kov round to him late in the fight which would have given kov the win. they knew ward was on the verge of winning so they gave him all the late roudns even if he didnt earn them. why did they do that? we dont know but whatever it was favored ward.

Simply put, I disagree. Although Kov landed a clean shot while Ward was showboating (freaking pissed me off and was ultimately why I gave Kov that round), that was not a clear round for Kov. Ward definitely landed clean punches on Kov throughout that round. It's just that that one punch gets a lot of attention and for whatever reason, many people are determining round 10 by that. Like I said, I gave Kov that round, but just because the judges saw it differently doesn't mean they were favoring Ward. One round doesn't indicate a bias towards a fighter for an entire fight...

I'm a total newbie but to me that makes sense and with all the political brush fires burning about the Russians I feel he would not get a fair judging by strictly American judges

If Kovalev is comfortable with cashing American checks, he should be comfortable fighting in front of American judges.
