Funny how some dudes claim that Loma is not worthy to be compared to Mayweather.

Let's see...

Loma: two Olympic Gold Medals, two World Gold Medals, Val Barker trophy, greatest amateur of all time
Mayweather: one Olympic Bronze Medal

Loma: world champion in the 3rd fight (tied the record), two division world champion in the 7th fight (the record)
Mayweather: world champion in the 18th (!) fight, two division champion in the 28th (!) fight.

It seems like the media wants to compare everyone who has a name in combat sports to Mayweather. That's how you know Floyd is the king.

There are many things wrong with this comparison. You really can't compare a guy with a 8-1 record in two divisions to a guy with a 49-0 record in 5 divisions. You're also comparing Lomachenko in the prime of his career to Mayweather at the end of his own career. A better comparison would have been Floyd around the same age, if not even slightly younger since he turned pro at 19, to Lomachenko now. That way we get a more fair comparison between the two.

It's amazing that even at Floyd's advanced age he still has the better plus/minus ratio all while facing stiffer competition.

stats are like a bikini..... they give you a rough idea whats going on but they still hide all the good stuff
