Stevenson going to Showtime instead of fighting Kovalev. Yes I know it was about money and not about him being "scurrred". But it eventually rendered him irrelevant. Nobody gives a crap about him anymore.

Idk know about this. Stevenson is definitely less relevant then he's ever been as champion ("lineal" champ lol at that) & I can see & might even argue irrelevant like you are saying....BUT he's clocking nice money in fights he's not very likely to lose. And mostly I think we are in wait & see mode with him cuz if he were to get a Ward or Kovalev fight next year for better money than HBO was gonna give him back in the day I think its ultimately a W & I think its a arguable W now.

But don't get me wrong Stevenson's moves have been bad for boxing & bad for his legacy, but business-wise I think he's probably made out better with less risk & the story isn't over.

Gamboa is definitely up there with the TR clusterf#ck that moved into whatever the f#ck happened with 50 Cent to whatever the f#ck is going on now.

Rigo's Gary Hyde til death do we part contract seems to have been the bain of his existence.

I could probably go on about Cuban guys in general. Although I guess coming from that commie non-capitalist Cuban culture is ripe for getting f#cked in business.

Manny not leaving TR for the highest bidder once his contract ran out a couple years back or just anytime post-ODLH when he could've flown free & made more money for him & his family.

Anyone signing a deal with Don King within the last decade or two when all the bad sh^t about him f#cking over people has been known & in the open. You'd be better off signing with a local lawyer than King when all your money is counted I bet.

Mikey's TR beef that led to him being out for so long was a bad business move I think. I applaud Mikey for the most part cuz he stood his ground for longer than I expected, but I think he should have just bit the bullet & got concrete details on when TR said his contract was over in writing & taken the path of least resistance to fulfill it (or the path of least resistance that still went through Manny was the plan from the sounds of it) & gtfo from there. I think he lost some key momentum in his career in those 2 years & he could be among the top 2 or 3 stars in the game today & be sitting on a lot more money already if he had stayed active I feel.

Forget business decisions. He's making ****** life decisions. He's a cat who's gonna be dead or locked up in 10 years I'd bet.

Plus the two biggest fights for him now, Loma and Crawford, are with Top Rank anyway

I somehow doubt that Arum is going to give him a crack at those fighters without punishing him in negotiations

It's funny you bring that up, because basicly what every hardcore fan wants you to do as a top fighter, is probably the excact opposite of what you should do, to max out your career.

That's why guys like Froch are such a rare breed.

Overpaying your top fighters for fighting nobodies, then put them on the shelf for the rest of the year. No wonder PBC will never recover.

When Kenny Rainford's dumb ass fought Brian. Yeah sure Rainford got the "W" because my ninja B took a dive for the money, but B-Suth was still the A-side and got the bulk of the PPV money; B got a fat $200 buck purse meanwhile gay ass Kenny only got $50, who the f**k is laughing now Kenny you sucker
