It was the second bout of his professional boxing career, and he was going up against a former two division world champion, who had a 55 career fights at the professional level, 41 of which were victories, and who outweighed Lomachenko by 20 pounds on the scales when they entered the ring. And not to mention the dozen low blows that Salido somehow got away with.
Meanwhile Mikey Garcia, in his second career pro fight, was fighting the 0-1 Chad Andrew Gannigan, who finished his esteemed career with a career record of 0-3.
Oh, and this. Through their first nine fights of their pro careers, here are the combined records of their opposition:
Lomachenko: 267-25-13
Mikey: 45-104-15
Mikey Garcia fought ONE guy with a winning record in his first nine fights...and that guy, a guy by the name of Gabriel Rangel, had a record of 2-0-1.
Come on now bruh.
I agree. Except change the "dozen" to 50. I mean hell, I could survive some rounds with Lomachenko if I'm allowed to hit him in the nuts.Comment

bc Siri is much better than Sosa and even better than Axeman in some respects.
and its was only Loma's 2nd pro fight. Siri gave Loma the equivalent of a PhD education in PRO boxing, including all the crafty stuff, the semi-dirty stuff, and the full dirty stuff.
I love Siri, but if there was a rematch, I would heavily favor Loma. He's gotten much better.Comment

The only reason Loma showboated against Sosa was because Sosa starting taunting Loma and talkingshit to him first. Loma did it in retaliation.
Its hilarious when a fighter who's getting embarrassed by his opponents starts talking crap like that's gonna help them. It doesn't happen too often but these are the other times I've seen it:
Telesco- Jones
Kevin Johnson-V Klitsckho- this was especially ****** since Johnson was too scared to throw punches in return. Dude was bragging about going 12 rounds while fighting in full survival mode.
Margarito-Cotto II
Vernon Paris- JudahComment
