An increasing amount of viewers want to watch Vasyl Lomachenko, even in one-sided fights.
The Ukrainian star's nine-round domination of Jason Sosa generated the highest rating for a boxing match on premium cable thus far in 2017. According to ratings released by Nielsen Media Research on Tuesday morning, a peak audience of 886,000 viewers tuned in to HBO on Saturday night to watch another superb performance from Lomachenko (8-1, 6 KOs).
An average of 832,000 viewers watched the uniquely skilled southpaw defend his WBO world super featherweight title against Sosa (20-2-4, 15 KOs) in the main event of HBO's "World Championship Boxing" tripleheader. Raul Rivas, Sosa's trainer, stopped their fight following nine rounds at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Good number. Glad to see more fans tuning in.

Ok HBO, don't waste the momentum by putting him in with another unknown. Flanagan has a flashy record but is really unknown. Use the money in the budget to make Salido an offer he can't refuse so we have a fight that fans actually will get behind and care about.

Just looking at the schedule, I can't see those ratings getting much higher. All of a HBO's biggest stars are scheduled to fight on PPV.

Wow I thought they would be closer to 500k because Cormier vs Rumble II UFC fight was going down that night.

If it wasn't for that major UFC card taking pace that night, I expect this would have been around one-million.

              Not bad at all!!

They should start the fight earlier. Lomo didn't enter the ring til almost midnight. I saw the first two fight but was too tired to stay up.
