or, is it suddenly necessary to have a rematch clause?

I truly cannot stand you ignorant two-faced fanboys

Golovkin-Jacobs was not controversial. In that fight, the champion who outthrew and outlanded his opponent, outdropped and outhurt his opponent, and came forward all night, got the decision. That is the OPPOSITE of what happened in Kovalev-Ward.

And yes I know you are a hater, it's good to see you admit it. You should get that hate from out your heart because hate can only destroy. You hate because you are ignorant. First you thought GGG wanted to duck Jacobs, but instead GGG changed his own schedule and overpaid Jacobs just to get Jacobs to fight him. You were WRONG as usual. Now in your ignorance you are wrong again, acting like Kovalev-Ward and GGG-Jacobs are the same thing. Then for a third time, you are wrong because you think GGG won't rematch Jacobs. Even though it wasn't controversial like Kovalev-Ward, GGG is a true champion and will give Jacobs a rematch promptly.

You're just ignorant, so in your ignorance you forget that Canelo ducked GGG all of last year, and made him wait until September of this year, the date that has been penciled down for a year. Because Canelo made GGG wait until this September, that means GGG does not have an open fight date until after September. Is that too hard for you to understand? Because Canelo made GGG wait, now the schedules conflict and Danny Jacobs will have to wait. Blame Canelo. Blame Jacobs for making GGG wait three years before Jacobs would even fight him. Jacobs waited until he saw GGG declining in the Brook fight before his trainer called Steve Kim to say they were finally ready to fight him now, right after the Brook fight. Or did you forget that too?

Now that your own ignorance has been held up as a mirror before you, I hope you let go of the hate and realize it's only there because you take false understandings from the articles you read and the comments you see. You are extremely biased and ignorant, so you create a false reality in your head, and then when other people and reality itself do not adhere to your fake reality, you blame them and hate them and project your own bias onto them. Someday you will realize you have lived like this and be full of regret that you hated people without cause, that you blamed other people for your own misunderstandings. That's why I am trying to give you good advice now, to just drop that hate, realize you see these things in a skewed way, and reassess the situation.

Snap back to the real reality, and you will no longer hate GGG or his fans, but appreciate them, and realize they are what is right about boxing, not what is wrong. You just have everything upside down right now because of your biases and your misunderstanding of "double standards" and various situations. Correct your understanding of the situation, and you will also correct the hate in your heart. I really mean that because it's true. I know you don't like me, but I hope you actually take these words to heart, instead of continuing with hate in your heart. Peace and love brother, peace and love.

Only if it's an actual robbery. If Ward legitimately wins 7 rounds and Kovalev only legitimately wins 5 rounds, then officially it is 2-0 Ward in two very close fights, and unofficially most fans would have it 1-1, similar to how Pacquiao kept getting close decisions against Marquez but after three fights most had it 2-1 or 1-1-1 rather than 2-0-1. If that happens, you take it from there. Kovalev could fight Beterbiev or Adonis, Ward could fight the other one, and then the winners could meet. If Kovalev and Ward still come out as the top dogs in the division after that, and fans still dispute who won the first two fights, then why wouldn't there be a third?

See this is what I mean, Kovalev fans and GGG fans are just boxing fans. We just want to see the best fight the best, the best fights. That's the difference. With you guys it always seems like you're scheming a way out for boxers. Like "Ward stole the first fight, so maybe if he can do a little better this fight, he can also get the decision, and sneak out of this rivalry with two wins, and never have to risk fighting Kovalev again! That would be amazing!"

With me it's not like that. I'm not thinking "man Ward is such a risk, I hope Kovalev only has to fight him once." I'm thinking "I want to see Kovalev fight the best guys, period." I wanted him to fight Stevenson when Stevenson was at his best, and that's a much scarier opponent than Ward. That is the difference between a boxing fan like me who appreciates the boxers who will fight the best and fight clean, entertaining fights, and fanboys who don't care about good fights or best vs best, they just care about protecting their favorite fighter from fighters like Kovalev. It's a big difference.

He will educate us on getting hit more times than hitting the opponent!

you see whatever you want to see

I know why YOU don't wanna see that fight again, but Golovkin should want to rematch Jacobs

FACT: Jacobs could be the best middleweight on the planet, and he will be especially confident after that experience

Wow, watching Ward get annihilated is going to be sweet.

Did you watch it? He tired out. And he's done work with a S&C coach this time. Likely he'll come in a complete fighter for part 2. We'll see, but I think it will happen.

come on man, that guy tried to say that a REAL fan only wants to watch the best fight the best

well, the two best middleweights are Jacobs and Golovkin, no question..... and Jacobs could well be better than Golovkin

I have no idea who would win that rematch, and I wouldn't bet a dollar on it

you really think that had nothing to do with the other guy?

oh well, I guess Kovalev can easily fix that

Kovalev said that he over-trained, and will now only do 1hr of roadwork and 1hr of boxing per day

I guess we will see whats up

FACT: Ward will not get any credit, no matter what happens
