They hate because he kept winning while rubbing their nose it, he beat everyone by using slick defensive boxing that casuals cant begin to understand so they call it running as it fits their mentality, running is cowardly to these people that have no clue what they are talking about and that comes into it.

So now we got a black man they couldn't beat giving them the big bird all adds up to the hate he gets.

Floyd broke all of the "rules", and ended up beating the game, so to speak.

Didn't bend to HBO, didn't bend to Top Rank, didn't bend to the boxing press, and never came all that close to ever getting beat in boxing.

Floyd is, in essence, Ray Kroc were he to have actually come up with the McDonald's idea (instead of stealing it from the McDonald brothers); a self-made man in the truest sense of the word.

folks hate success, especially success with no seeming failures

I cant say I hate him, he's a great fighter but I don't like him outside the ring. Some of the stuff he did outside of boxing is pathetic...And the way he tried to belittle Ali and his accomplishments even after his death was classless.
